Hi
The monuments and statues are carved beautifully by Mason's and sculptures but they can't with stand the ravages of time such as air,Strom, rain etc. the monuments get spoiled , discoloured, broken and left uncared
Time and war can destroy everything. Many gory wars have been fought in the world since the beginning of civilization. Towns, cities were destroyed in those wars. Buildings, statues, and gilded monuments are fixed on a particular place. Owing to their large size and immovability, they become an easy target of enemy artillery and cannons during war. The poet is of the opinion, monuments and statues will be destroyed either by the ravages of time, or by the destruction resulting from wars.

Hope it helps!!!
