Describe in the three stages of stone age

Paleolithic period-
a. Tools during this period were made from stone, wood and bone. Bows and arrows were often used for hunting.
b. They used flint,hand axes,hunting spears,fishhooks,and animal bones.  Limestone was commonly used in making tools.
c. It is considered to be the oldest stone age, and is believed to  extend from 2 million years ago to about 12,000 years ago​.

Mesolithic period:
a. Small stone tools called Microliths and retouched blade lets were used  for the first time during this period.
b. Pottery and the use of the bow also developed.
c. This period witnessed the gradual domestication of plants and animals and the formation of settled communities at various times and places.

Neolithic period:
a. Neolithic period was characterised by using sharp edged polished tools like axe heads, adz heads, chisels, and gouge.
b. Mortars and pestles were used for grinding. All of the tools were made of stone.
c. The main type of stone used was flint which is a hard stone found in limestone and chalk.
d. This period also witnessed permanent settlement by human beings in villages, a beginning of a more settled life.
e. People learned to domesticate animals, started engaging in farming, began to raise crops.
f. People began to pursue crafts like pottery , weaving.
