Describe the arrival of the Otis family to Canterville Chase

Canterville Chase was supposed to be a haunted house. The Otis family was aware of this fact. But as they did not believe in ghost, they decided to move to Canterville Chase. They went there in the month of July. As the station was seven miles away from the nearest railway station, they took a waggonette to reach the house. While they were on their way, the surroundings were very charming.  Tiny squirrels stared at them from the beech-trees as they went by, and the rabbits moved around with their white tails in the air. However, as they entered the path of Canterville Chase, the sky became unexpectedly dark with clouds, a silence seemed to embrace the atmosphere, a great flight of rooks passed silently over their heads, and, before they reached the house, some big drops of rain had also fallen. They were received by Mrs. Umney on their arrival.
