Renal cortex is the outer portion of the kidney and renal medulla
is the inner most part of the kidney

It is the funnel-shaped dilated proximal part of the ureter in
the kidney and is present on the inner side of hilum It has
projections called calyces
It is the apex of a renal pyramid which projects into the lumen
of a calyx of the kidney Through the renal papilla, the collecting
tubules discharge urine
