The sum of all ecosystems (forest ecosystem, grassland ecosystem, desert ecosystem etc.), which together promotes life on earth is known as biosphere. It is the measure of variety of life in different ecosystems. The variation in different species of an organism is what constitutes biodiversity.

Biodiversity is the diversity between plant and animal species in a habitat. The biosphere is the sphere of all living things. Naturally, the more diverse the plant and animal species are, the more the biosphere expands to include more or new species.
