Difference between current and current density
Dears student,
1. Current is basically the rate of flow of electric charge per unit time whereas current density is the current flowing per unit area.
2. Current is a scalar quantity whereas current density is a vector quantity.
3. Current= Charge/ Time.
Current Density= Current/Area.
4. SI unit of current is Ampere whereas that of current density is amperes per square meter.
