difference between ganga, indus, and brahmaputra ???

 The Ganga-

• The Ganga river originates from the Gangotri Glacier in the Himalayas and after crossing through India and Bangladesh ,It falls in the Bay of Bengal.
• Its total length is about 2,490 Km but 2070 Km in India.
• Its main tributaries from the north side are Yamuna ,Gomti,Ghagra,Gandak and Kosi.
• Its southern tributaries are Son,Chambal,Betwa .
• Its main tributary is the Yamuna which meets it at Allahbad.

The Brahmaputra-

• It originates close to the source of the Indus and the Satluj in western Tibet and falls in the Bay of Bengal.
• Its total length is about 2900 Km in India .
• Following eastwards through the Himalayas ,it turns south ,the south-west and then again south and in Bangladesh ,it meets the eastern -most branch of Ganga ,which is known as Padma in Bangladesh and ultimately it falls in Bay of Bengal.

 The Indus-

• The Indus river originates near the Mansarover lake in Tibet and it drains into the Arabian sea.
• Its total length is about 2,900 Km but only 709 Km in India.
• Its main tributaries are Satluj,Beas,Ravi,chenab and Jhelum.
