Difference between parasites and decomposers
Dear student,
Parasites are small organisms that live in or on the bodies of larger organisms, feeding off their tissue or food. eg: flatworms that attach themselves to the insides of the intestines of animals such as cows, pigs, and humans. They get food by eating the host's partly digested food, depriving the host of nutrients.
Decomposers are fungi & bacteria that break down dead bodies of plants & animals by releasing digestive enzymes; eg: bacteria, fungi.
