difference between self pollination, cross pollination, wind pollination, insect pollination, water pollination. (atleast 5 points).

Dear Student,

Pollination is the process in which the transfer of pollen grains takes place form anther to stigma for the purpose of fertilization in plants.

Types of pollination:
Self pollination: It occurs in bisexual flowers. It is of two types:
Cross pollination: It can occur in both unisexual and bisexual flowers.
In this type of pollination, pollen is transferred from the anther of one flower of one plant to stigma of another flower of another plant.

Wind pollination is the type of pollination whete the pollen grains are distributed by wind. This type of pollination can take place in the plants which produce great amount of pollen. example: pines

Insect pollination occurs when the pollen grain stuck to the bodies of these insects and they carry pollens from one flower to another. Plants undergoing this type of pollination are very colourful so that they can attract insects.

Water pollination takes place in aquatic plants.
