Difference between trancolation and transpiration

Dear Student.
Refer below the solution to the asked query.

Transpiration is caused by conduction of water and water is conducted by xylem while translocation of food occurs through phloem.

Translocation  is the process of movement of materials from leaves to all other parts of the plant body. Leaves of the plants perform photosynthesis and produce carbohydrates (sugar) which are translocated to the non photosynthetic parts (roots, flowers, fruits) of the plant through special tissues called phloem.

Transpiration is the process by which excess water in plants is lost to the atmosphere in the form of water vapour through tiny pores present on the surface of the leaf called stomata.

Transpiration is the evaporation of water from the leaves in the form of water vapour whereas translocation is the transportation of synthesized products (sugars)in a plant. *Transpiration always occurs against the gravity whiletranslocation does not always occur against gravity.
