difference between transport protein and carrier protein ?
Transport proteins are the proteins that help in moving of material across cell membrane. On the basis of the mode of action, transport protein is divided into two types i.e. channel protein and carrier protein.
Carrier protein binds to solute and undergoes conformational changes to transfer the substance across membrane. They possess specific binding sites for solutes.
