Differences between dicotyledonous seed and monocotyledonous seed

Dear student, The plants with seeds that have only one seed leaf or cotyledon are called monocot plants. E.g. wheat, maize. rice Dicot plants bear seeds with two seed leaves or cotyledon. For example pea, beans, pumpkins etc. Hope this information helps ,Regards.
