Difference between tortoise and turtle:
Tortoise Turtle
Tortoise has a dome shaped shell .with short and sturdy feet Turtle has a flat streamlined shell with webbed feet with long claws.
Tortoise does not have webbed feet and long claws. Turtle has webbed feet and long claws.
Tortoise don't have flippers. Some turtles have flippers.
 Most land-based tortoises are herbivores. Turtles can be both herbivores and carnivores.
