Differentiate between Gram Sabha and Gram Panchayat. 

Dear Student,

The following points may help you :

 Gram Sabha:

a. The Gram Sabha  comprises of all the adult members of the village anyone who is above the age of 18 is the member of Gram Sabha and has right to vote.  
b. Gram Sabha among them elects the members of the Gram Panchayat  and the Sarpanch who coordinates the meetings of the Sabha.

Gram Panchayat:

a. At the village level, there is a Gram Panchayat in each village or a group of villages comprising of villagers, it also has ward members referred as Panchs and the President who is known as the Sarpanch.
 
b. The panchs are elected by the members of the Panchayat. 
c. The working of the gram panchayat is supervised by Gram sabha.
d. The Sabha approves the annual plans, budget of the Gram panchayat.
