Himalayas Northern Plains
They are formed due to movement of two tectonic plates which leads to formation of these folding mountains. Northern plains are formed by the  by the deposition of sediments brought down by the Ganga, Brahamputra and its tributaries from the Himalayas
They are high in altitude with many snow covered highest peaks of the world They are plain with fertile soil.
Himalayas are valuable as they are adobe of rich flora and fauna, tourist places, beauty and acting as protective boundary. Northern plains are important since it has fertile soil which makes it good for agriculture and plain topography makes it suitable for settlement.
They are the source of many perennial rivers. The rivers originated from Himalayas flow down in northern plains and form deltas.
The crops mainly grown here are tea, dry fruits,orchards,bamboo etc. The main crops grown here are wheat, rice,potato,pumpkin, cereals,maize etc.
The Himalayas consist of mountainous ,terai , red and black soil Northern plains are rich in fertile alluvial soil.
