Distinguish between zygotene and liptotene
Dear Student
Lepotene shows the first stage of prophase 1 in which each chromosomes having two sister chromatids become visible as individualized chromosome. The closely associated sister chromatids can be visually distinguished from one another.
Zygotene -is the second stage of prophase 1 in which chromosomes line up with other pair of sister chromosomes in homologous pair of chromosomes. During zygotene synapsis occurs between homologous chromosomes resulting in formation of bivalent or tetravalent pair.
