Do only polar covalent compounds e.g. HCl become good conductor of electricity when dissolved in water or is it true for non polar covalent compounds also? PLEASE DON'T DELETE..

Dear student,

We know that like dissolves like, so a polar compound will get dissolved in a polar solvent (i.e., water) and can conduct electricity because of the conduction of ions but in the case of nonpolar compounds they will not get dissolved in water and will not conduct electricity because there will be no generation of charge.
