do plants absorb glucose if a solution of the same is poured in a potted plant?

Plants absorb most of the minerals in the form of positively charged ions. Since glucose does not contain any charge, so it is not properly absorbed through the roots. The only way to absorb glucose is when it gets along any transporter into the cell. The biochemical analyses have revealed glucose uptake in roots, but the transporters that are involved in this process have not yet been fully understood. It is believed that roots can absorb only a small amout of glucose through roots.
