Geoff was Sophie’s brother. He was an apprentice mechanic. He was a very calm and quiet boy and he hardly ever spoke about any topic voluntarily. Sophie was jealous of Geoff’s silence. But she was also fascinated about him because she knew that ieven when he was silent, his mind would travel to distant lands, the land which Sophie wanted to visit too. Moreover, because of his silence everyone could confide in him. So it was an asset for him.
