Do you think Soapy was doing the right things to get arrested? Justify.

From the story 'The cop and the anthem'

Dear Student, 

Soapy was making efforts to get arrested. Initially, he planned to eat in a fancy restaurant without paying. He hoped to be arrested for not paying for his dinner. However, his plans were foiled when he was not allowed to enter the restaurant due to his torn clothes. Later, he broke the window of a shop to get arrested. However, the cop still did not arrest him. He also stole an umbrella, hit on a woman and ate at another restaurant without paying. Despite these efforts, he was not arrested. Yes, he was making the right efforts to get arrested. However, he was unlucky. Eventually, he got into an argument with a policeman and was arrested for arguing.
