Antibiotics cannot be used because AIDS is a disease caused by virus. Most virus do not have biochemical pathways of their own and instead use the machinery of our cell for their survival. Antiobiotics kill the pathogen by blocking the biochemical pathway essential for its survival and hence does not have any virus- target area to kill it.

antibiotics don't work on viruses because antibiotics block the biological pathways of calls in pathogens but viruses use our machinery as they are non- living on their own. so the antibiotics would kill our machinery instead of killing the virus. moreover, AIDS is not a disease it is a syndrome which makes our immune system weak.
