does general body design means that the body poooses similiar functions and having similiar organs(like fishes having gills and humans having lungs) and similiar processes( humans walk and reptile crawl and birds fly) .....is my opnion correct pleez corret as fast as u can??

The general body design or body plan is a characteristic of each phylum. Similar organisms have a similar body design. Developmental characteristics, structural characteristics, body symmetry, segmentation and organization of organs; all form a part of the general body plan of a phylum.
