Does taste is the matter or it is the non matter?

Taste is not a matter. It is ability of our sense organ (tongue) to recognise or make us sense between different eatables or drinks. Taste is a sensation produced in our mouth when a substance in a mouth react chemically with taste receptor cell.
Matter is anything that occupies space and has mass. The book that we read, the water that we drink, the food that we eat, the clothes that we wear, etc. are all examples of matter. Scientists have called everything that is present in the universe as matter.
