Does the size of the proton which is way more larger than the size of electron affect the charge of the atom.as because the size of proton is much larger than of electron and so when there are equal number of proton and electron does this not affect the charges because Proton is larger than electron

Dear student. When we talk about protons and electrons, it is actually only the charges which come into play, not the size. When a thing is large it does not affect its charge, as both small and large protons will have the same charge. Charge is fixed for all protons. Regards
