draw the graph generated by equation x/3 + y/4 = 1. Ditermine the area of triangle broduced by drawn line and the cordinate axe .

So  the coordinates of line are assume as   A (0,4) and B (3,0 ) and graph is as below



we can see here that line AB intersect coordinates axes at A and  B also AB is producing a Right angle  triangle OAB (axes intersect each other perpendicularly )
 using formula 
Area of right angle triangle( OAB ) =1/2 (product of base and height )
                                                        =1/2 ( OB$\times$ OA )
                                                         ​​​​​= 1/2 ( 3$\times$ 4)       ,      where OB =3 units and OA = 4 units  
                                                          = 12 /2  = 6  square units.
