Beti bachao beti padhao is an initiative taken by the government to increase the literacy level of the girls and women. This scheme aims to create awareness among the people for educating the girl child. This scheme also tries to eliminate the gender biasness prevailing at a large scale within the country. Women development and growth provides the government to tap the unutilised potential of the female population. Greater participation of women will increase goverment's human resource leading to increase in productivity. Thus, the PPC will shift rightwards.

With less Female sex ratio, low literacy rate, very less contribution in India's GDP, Females in India have been denied ?Equality?. Blame it on Patriarch society, low level of awareness, ignorance of Govt or any other reason but women in India have not been treated as par with the men. They are the untapped potential of our country, an asset which is placed idle.

Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao is an initiative of Indian Govt, which in various ways helps Females directly or indirectly in their development.

It is an umbrella scheme which starts from care of Pregnant women by providing them medical facilities, then Health care benefits for new born, their primary education, savings deposit scheme for their secondary education and also various schemes for their marriage.

This scheme primarily focus on women development and growth and helping them to live a dignified life and giving them equal opportunity to study as well as work helping them and Indian economy to grow and nourish.
