“All works and no play make Jack a dull boy” goes the famous saying. I too enjoy playing all sorts of games-both indoors as well as outdoors. Among the indoor games, I enjoy playing carom and chess the most. I also enjoy playing badminton and table tennis with my friends and cousins.

But the game I like the most is cricket. I not only enjoy playing this game but also watching it. It is my favorite game. We play cricket in our school also. I am in our school team and I really enjoy playing for our school. I open innings for our school’s team.

I like all the aspects of the game-batting, fielding and bowling. I especially like taking catches and diving to stop the boundaries during fielding. I bowl sometimes. But it is batting that I enjoy the most. I am also the vice-captain of the school team. In the last inter-school tournament, our school had grabbed the trophy and I had contributed 58 runs in my team’s score.

Our coach is very hardworking too. We practice every day from 6AM to 8AM in the morning and 4PM to 5PM in the evening. We first warm up by taking a few rounds of our ground, then we do a few stretching and fitness exercises. Then we practice as per our turns-fielding, batting or bowling.

I also enjoy watching the game whenever there is a live telecast on television. India is of course my favourite team but I also like watching the Australian and Srilankan teams. I therefore enjoy watching any match of the Indian team and if the other team is also one of my favourites, it is like a cherry on the cake.

Recently, I got a chance to watch a live cricket match at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium between India and srilanka. It was a thrilling experience. I enjoyed the match especially, the great performances of captain Dravid, Sehwag, Tendulkar, Dhoni, Kaif and Kumble. Sachin Tendulkar is my favorite batsman. But the new sensation Dhoni too has won the hearts of many people including mine. It was a great joy to watch my favourite teams pitched up against each other. India had won in the end, therefore our joy was doubled and we felt our watching the Match was even more rewarded. I wish, I could get such more chances to watch live matches.

MY FAVOURITE GAME - CRICKET

Cricket is the exiting outdoor game in India and plays in many countries all through the World . It is not so popular in United states however played as a most fascinating game in many countries like India England and Australia . It is a wonderful game played using a bat and a ball in the open space in the big field . It is my favourite sport . I generally used to see only cricket on the TV whenever any national or international cricket competition takes place . In cricket there are two teams having 11 players in each team . One team starts bating first and other team do bowling according to the toss wining . The team who toss do bating first however both of the teams can do bating alternatively .
There are many rules in the cricket and one cannot play the cricket without knowing the rules and regulations properly . It is played well when play ground becomes dry however there exist some problems when ground gets wet . One batsman gets chance to do bating until he gets out of the game . Whenever match starts everyone's enthusiasm runs high and a high pitch sound of people gets spread all over the stadium , especially when favourite batsman does through a chauka or chhakka ball . Virat Kohli ( you can your favourite cricketer's name also here ) is my favourite cricketer and would be . He had made a new record in the cricket history of India . I completely forgot to eat anything for whole day Whenever he played his cricket match on national or international level .
Cricket is a hard however simple game if practised on regular basis . I too very fond of playing the cricket and playing in the evening in the play ground near my house . My parents are very helpful and motivate me always to play cricket very well .
