Example of out crossing in animals?

Dear student,

Outcross is a type of crossing phenomenon where a cross is performed between two unrelated or distinctly related genetic species. The organisms crossed are of same genus but are distinctly related. Outcross brings unrelated genetic material into a population, which causes genetic diversity and variation.  Example of such cross can be seen by mating two dogs that are the product of line breeding of two separate lines.
