expert please tell that
there are two questions in my book. 1st is - the most important constituent of air is? in this answer mam has written oxygen. and the 2nd question is- the major constituent of atmosphere by percentage is? in this answer mam has written nitrogen. What is the difference between because both answer are not same. please explain me this question. and the difference between them. please expert fast. it is urgent

Dear student 
Yeh yeah constitutes basically of nitrogen ,Oxygen and other gases. And as we know oxygen is important for the survival of all living things so the most important component in the air is Oxygen. Now according to second question major constituent means the major proportion in the atmosphere and that is definitely nitrogen as nitrogen is present in 72% proportion.

no , they are not same as oxygen in air is 21% and nitrogen is 72% and the left out is other gases that is only 1% .

but still it can be said same as these are components of air.
