Experts, please help me solve this question related to light ASAP...
Dear student,
(a)
(a)
(i) The angle of incidence is the angle which the incident ray makes with the normal.
∴∠i = 90°–30° = 60 °
(ii) Angle of refraction is the angle which the refracted ray makes with the normal.
∴∠r= 90°–45° = 45°
(b) According to Snell’s law,
AirμLiquid = sini/sinr = sin60°/sin45°
Or,
airμliquid = (√3/2)/(1/√2) = √3/√2
=1.22.
