Let the side of an equilateral triangle = s We know that the area of an equilateral triangle = \frac{\sqrt{3}}{4} {(s)}^{2} Given area of an equilateral triangle = \sqrt{3} {cm}^{2} So, we have \frac{\sqrt{3}}{4} {(s)}^{2} = \sqrt{3} \Rightarrow s^{2} = \frac{\sqrt{3} \times 4}{\sqrt{3}} \Rightarrow s^{2} = 4 \Rightarrow s = 2 cm (side cannot be negative .)
