Explain how cell wall presents the bursting of a cell ?

Dear student,
Please find below the answer:

The cell is an additional protective, rigid structure present outside the cell membrane in plants. It limits the entry of those molecules that may be toxic to the cells. During endosmosis when a cell swells up, it applies pressure on the cell wall. In return, it is cell wall that also applies the same amount of pressure on the cell. This is how a cell wall prevents the bursting of the cell.

Hope this clears your doubt.
Regards.
