explain how hiv virus enteres into body and causes aids??
AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome) is a disease that is caused by a retrovirus known as HIV (human immunodeficiency virus). The virus can enter via various routes such as-
1. Mother to child during pregnancy.
2. Sexual intercourse.
3. Infected needles.
4. Blood to blood contact, if blood is contaminated.
When virus enters the body, it destroys T lymphocytes (a type of white blood cells) that are very important for the immune system. This leads to the less ability of a person to fight infection and person will easily get affected with different diseases.
