explain subsidiary Alliance with the help of example

Subsidiary alliance was a treaty between the British East India Company and the Indian princely states. Under this alliance, the princely states handed over authority over their armed forces and external relations to the British government. In return, the British allowed the princely state autonomy over internal affairs. An example of such an alliance was the one between the Nizam of Hyderabad and the East India company.
