Explain the causes and effects of drought and flood?
Causes of drought are absence of rainfall for longer period and depletion of precipitation.
Cause of flood is excess rainfall that result in the over flow of water bed on to the land surface.
Effects of drought and flood are:-
1. It will directly effect the life and health of people by lack of water or excess of water. Excess of water can wreck the sewage and drinking supplies and can also become a breeding place for mosquitoes and flies that cause diseases.
2. A sudden flood or drought can cause a severe damage to the economies of areas it strikes.
3. The area where they come get damaged severly.
