• A few candidates win the elections purely on unfair means
• Candidates and parties with a lot of money, win the elections thereby making the smaller parties and independents lose in elections 
• In some cases, candidates and political parties with criminal background push back the other rival parties from the electoral participation thereby securing the ticket and as well as the seat in government
• Some families tend to dominate parties and hence, the tickets are distributed to the relatives of the family
• A lot of candidates gain the support of voters belonging to the same caste as his.
