Explain the consequences of rainwater harvesting in detail.

Dear Student,
 Rain water harvesting is a process by which we conserve rain water. The rain water is stored for reuse before it goes down the drain and gets wasted.

Consequences of rainwater harvesting are:-
1)Economic in Nature :- 
Rain water harvesting requires very small amount of maintenance. It provides free water which can be used for various purposes at a very low cost. 
2) Purest Form of Water :- Rain water is usually the purest form of water so it can be used easily for domestic services. Thus, collected can be used for various domestic purposes such as drinking, cooking, bathing, washing, laundry etc. ​​​​​It is usually the purest form of water so it can be used easily for domestic services.
3) Useful for irrigation :- This water can also be used for irrigation and provides regular water supply in drought prone areas.
4) Helpful in Saving Water :- Rainwater harvesting also reduces the risk of flooding of roads in cities as collecting of rainwater reduces excess of water to get wasted.
5) ​​​​​Require Maintenance :- Regular maintenance such as cleansing of the tanks etc. is required to ensure that the quality of water does not deteriorate.
