Explain the difference between seral stage and climax community during succession .

sere(s) stage : all the stages in the process of ecological succession .

climax community : the last stage or final change in a sere leads to the formation of community which is in equilibrium with the environment and this is called as climax community.

Eg: in a water body, all the stages/ changes taking place in converting the area constitute a sere. the forest(mesic condition) formed at the end of process ia called as climax community.
