Infrared radiation are used in photography at night and also in mist and fog because they have long wavelength. As they are having low frequency the energy associated with them is also low so they do not scatter much and can penetrate appreciably through it.

ans c= ultraviolet radiations can pass through quartz but are absorbed by glass that is why ultraviolet bulbs have an envelope made of quartz instead of glass

ans d=infrared radiations are used as signals during war as they are not visible and they are not absorbed much in the medium.

ans e=as the light gets scattered the blue light due to its short wavelenthis scattered more compared to the red light.thus the light reaching our eye is scattered blue light.therefore the sky other than the sun is seen as blue.

ans f=because rock-salt prism does not absorb infrared radiations whereas a glass prism absorbs them.
