(1) Hominid communicates through gestures or hand movements
(2) Later there was communication through vocal mediums but non-verbal such as singing or humming.
(3) Hominid speech probably began with calls that is observed among primates.
Humans have possessed a small number of speech sounds in the initial stage. Gradually, these possibly have developed into language.
