Explain the poem geography Lesson.
In this poem the poet has tried to describe the view of a city from the air. As soon as the jet rises up, we can see the aerial view of the city in all its splendour. It is not a well planned city but had grown as per the needs of the citizens. Structures have come up wherever it was necessary. As the jet flew higher, the poet could understand how the city grew near the water resources. The rivers help man in leading a better life with irrigation and farming. As the jet flew higher, the poet realised that the earth was round and covered by water. He ends the poem by wondering why men hate each other and build borders across the earth. The man made borders were invisible to the poet's eye from that height.
