Explain the process of departing of monsoon in India

The monsoon starts departing from India around the middle of September. By then, temperatures fall over the Indian subcontinent. This creates a high pressure zone over India. This pushes out the monsoon winds from India into the Indian ocean. This phase is called the retreating monsoon phase.
