Explain the process of sublimation on the basis of kinetic theory of matter

A change of state directly from solid to gas without changing into liquid state is called sublimation. Solids like ammonium chloride decomposes on heating. The solid particles are heated and filled with energy, this energy is out forced which makes the solid matter sublime from its solid state to gaseous state.
