explain the relationship between the height of land and the type of vegetation.

The height of land means altitude, i.e. height from the sea level. Altitude has a significant effect on vegetation because altitude affects temperature. Higher altitude means lower temperature. Hence, at higher altitude, the vegetation that grows is more suited to cold weather. This is true even if the area itself is in the tropical zone. The trees that grow in high altitude regions are mostly coniferous trees.
