Dear student,
The proportion of rural women engaged in the primary sector is more than the proportion of rural men employed in the same sector. This can be due to various reasons-
1. Poverty- The main reason for rural women to work is poverty. Due the lack of finance they are often forced to work.
2. Lack of education- The women in rural areas are not much educated due to which they work in primary sector to earn a living.
3. Lack of skills- Due to lack of skills women work in primary sector to earn for the family.
