Explain types of noun clause

- A noun clause is a dependent clause that functions as a noun.
- They name something when a single word is not enough and a group of words is required.
- As subject of a verb:
How he behaved was impolite. (underlined words are the subject of 'was')
- As object of a verb:
Reena didn't know why the TV was not working. (underlined words are the object of 'know')
- As complements:
The prize will be whatever the contestants can find. (underlined words give more information about the noun 'winner')
- As object of a preposition:
I am not responsible for what you do. (object of preposition 'for')
