Explain why Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) and literacy rate are considered to be indicators of human resource development.

Infant mortality rate shows the health condition and health facilities and the nutrition level of a country,the better these facilities present in a country ,the more developed a country is. Similarly ,the more literate the population is ,there is more human development as these literates will know their rights and also have good employment opportunities because of sufficient education. So this the reason why both the literacy rate and infant mortality rate are one of important indicators of human development index.
