Explain why it is necessary for the Newton's disk to be rotated very fast (in detail).
(Think if the disc will appear white when rotated very slowly)

Newton disc rotation experiment is similar to our earth rotation, We know that when we pass sunlight to a prism then it splits into seven colours. But as our earth is rotation very fast the sunlight appears as white. Since all the seven colours combine and our eyes are not able to detect all colours separately. Or in other words when it is rotated fast the colours blend to form white colours due to persistence of vision. White light is a combination of mainly 7 colors.So, Newton wanted to prove this by carrying out this experiment.

We see white colour in Newton's disc because of the fact that white light is made up of 7 rainbow colours. i.e VIBGYOR. And, a Newton disc have parts of different colours. As we rotate our sees the light coming from that colours as combined and it appears white. Now I a, coming to question If the speed of the disc is not enough then our eye may detect some combination of colours. Because our eye has some resolution If the speed comes into the range of our eye resolution then oue eye will be able to see colours. In this case the colours are not seen separately but a combination of it.
