Explain why liquids like ether and acetone are kept in cool places?

ether and acetone are highly volatile liquids .i.e. they vaporise easily  at room temp. also... so if they are not kept at room temp. or at warm places, they will vaporise.. in order to suppress their vaporisation, they are kept at cool plces.

in the second line omit ''not''...  the line is if they are kept at warm places they will vaporise.

This is how we do it. the number of moles of Oxygen and nitrogen are same therefore the first pressure that is the combined pressure of both nitrogen and Oxygen will be with 2 moles and the other pressure when nitrogen is excluded will be with 1 moles and when we take the ratio of both of them then we get thewe show as one by two of the first pressure

Units should be put same in both the conditions....

1. These liquids are highly volatile: This means that ether and acetone easily evaporate at normal room temperatures. Therefore, by keeping these liquids in cool temperatures evaporation is prevented.

2. These liquids are highly inflammable: It means that ether and acetone can easily catch fire or be set on fire. Storing them in a cool place only reduces the chances of fire break out.

These are some of the reasons why ether and acetone are stored in cool places: ... These liquids are highly volatile: This means that ether and acetone easily evaporate at normal room temperatures. Therefore, by keeping these liquids in cool temperatures evaporation is prevented.

Because when kept it in hot place it will evaporate fastly

They are stored in cool places so that they don't get enough latent heat for vapourisation.

Because of there highly volatile nature. They vaporizes easily. Boiling point of ether is about 34?C which is lower than human body temp (37?C). To preserve them, such liquids are stored in cool places due to their highly volatile nature.

Thanks and regards.

As these fall under the category of volatile liquid having low boiling point, if kept in high temperature or bottle cap is not tightly packed, these liquid will get evaporated hence ether, acetone, chloroform are stored in cool place.

Because, they are very volatile. They can easily evaporate at room temperatures. They take up the heat from the atmosphere and the molecules of?acetone?use this heat up to evaporate. So, this is the reason why they are?kept?at?cool places.
