Find a quadratic polynomial whose zeros are -9 and 1/9

Let quadratic polynomial be ax²+bx+c
Zeroes are -9 and 1/9
Sum of zeroes= -9+1/9
= -80/9 (LCM) = -b/a
Product of zeroes = -9×1/9= -9/9=c/a

a=9, b=80, c= -9
=> the quadratic polynomial is 9x²+80x-9

  • 10
a+b =-80/9 and ab = -1
f(x) = x²-(a+b)x+(ab)
=x²+80/9x-1
=9x²+80x-9
